Latest reports say only<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> half of LGBTQ students felt that school was a safe place and that none of them \u2013\u2013 as in zero \u2013\u2013 felt respected by their peers.\n\u2800\u2800\nWith a specific focus on serving low-income students who wouldn\u2019t normally have access to this type of education, the <a href=\"http:\/\/thewholehumanproject.org\">WHP<\/a> aims to make their mentorship available to as many students as possible.<\/span>\n\n&nbsp;\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fwholehuman%2Fphotos%2Fa.404345659770715.1073741829.379081595630455%2F487775191427761%2F%3Ftype%3D3&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"502\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">\nDiscussions cover gender identity, radical self-love, sex ed, how to be a good ally\/friend\/human, and a lot more. It\u2019s an effort to guide students in cultivating completeness in \u201cthe heart, the mind, the social, and the emotional.\u201d\n\u2800\u2800\n\u201cTeenagers across the country crave authentic conversations about identity, sexuality, and boundaries. [They] want to know that what they are feeling and thinking is normal. They want to be accepted. They want community,\u201d says a rep from WHP.\n\u2800\u2800\nAnd they\u2019re already seeing results! Academics have improved 10%, bullying and harassment are down 15%. Next year they\u2019re expanding access to 1,000 students.
