They were really nervous at first.<br \/>\n\u2800\u2800<br \/>\nIt was 2015, shortly after the horrible shooting in San Bernadino. The two parents hid in their homes for days, afraid to leave the house for fear of being stereotyped as rad<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">ical Muslims. It turns out people had a lot of questions, and Mona and Sebastian were more than happy to answer. Soon, conversation \u2013 and hugs \u2013 flowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\nIt takes real courage to put yourself out there\u2014especially in the vulnerable spot these two were in\u2014 to work toward a more inclusive and empathetic world. And that\u2019s what we\u2019re here to highlight and celebrate.
