And Snap users, along with neighboring tech companies, are calling them out.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWithout m<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">ile markers so to speak \u2013 that is, specific numbers of employees in different demographic groups at different levels\u2013we have no idea how far they\u2019ve come nor their pace,\u201d says venture capital wizard, Freada Kapor Klein. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">\u201cA startup would never say that their goal is profitability but they don\u2019t track their revenues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">Research shows that diverse workforces are both more productive and help companies better understand their audiences. For social media-based companies like Snapchat it\u2019s especially important for the magicians behind the curtain to understand users\u2019 wants and needs. Having people steeped in different experiences contributing to decision-making is a must. Remember Snap\u2019s black-face Bob Marley filter idea?
