Do you know about the Pussyhat Project<\/a>? Stay a minute and we\u2019ll tell you. Your ears will probably want their own pink hat after they hear about it.<\/p>\n

January 21st is slated to be the Women\u2019s March in Washington DC. The mission? To stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us.<\/p>\n

January is also a cold month and hats are practical. Pink is feminine. The Pussyhat Project takes all these truths and knits them into one cool goal: turning the streets into a sea of pink.<\/p>\n

Krista Suh and Jayna Zweiman, co-founders of the effort, are down with reclaiming femininity and domesticity. Pink will make the march even more powerful and united. Mark your calendars.<\/p>\n

L: Adorable Toddler R: 99 YEAR OLD ROSE WHO KNITTED HER OWN #PUSSYHAT. I adore the fact that #Pussyhatproject has involvement from all ages. \/\/\/ I’m still wrapping my head around this: Rose was born in 1917. And in 2016 she’s knitting pussyhats for marchers going to the #womensmarch. Marchers! You may be wearing a hat made by someone born in 1917 and who was probably taught to knit by someone born in the 1800s. \/\/\/ I showed this photo to my 85 year old grandmother who found Rose so inspiring, “Wow she looks 70,” and “She has great teeth!” says my grandma. \/\/\/ And as for the toddler, my grandma LOVES this darling! She’s currently inspired and making some child size pussyhats.<\/a><\/p>\n
