The data will be synced up with an upcoming website called OpenJustice where all the info will be open source. It\u2019s a big win for transparency. The idea is that the simpler it is, the more it will be used.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope our approach will inspire other states and the country to act, and make critical police data, such as use of force, available to the public,\u201d says Co-Founder and President, Eric Liu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fbayesimpact%2Fphotos%2Fa.1573323469567606.1073741830.1475903842642903%2F1573323486234271%2F%3Ftype%3D3&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>URSUS is launching in California, in tandem with a new bill that legally requires all 800 departments to report every incident. The Golden State is hoping to set a good example with URSUS so that it might catch the attention of the feds and become a nation-wide thing. That would be HUGE.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first piece in a big puzzle for Bayes Impact . Their plan is to continue to develop new tech tools to help keep both our police and our communities safe.
