Last year, twins Marcelo and Eugenio Garza turned 18 and \u2013 like many newly-bloomed adults \u2013 made a mad dash for the city. Only this time, the city was in a different country \u2013 they left Monterrey, Mexico, for Los Angeles, with dreams of becoming R&B artists.<\/p>\n
They lived together in a tiny studio apartment, working tirelessly on their duo project, Vice Menta<\/a>, messaging every label they could find.<\/p>\n \u201cWe thought about how we were different from all of the thousands of people trying to make it and we were like, \u2018Well, we\u2019re Mexican \u2014 we\u2019re actually from there.
