Jasmine Twitty is 25 years-old and sharp as a tack. And guess what? True commitment \u00a0\u2013 like the working-seven-days-a-week kind \u2013 and a whole lot of brains have earned her the spot one of the youngest judges in South Carolina.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t the easiest thing she\u2019s ever done, and she had to work around many discouraging words along the way, but she\u2019s a self-professed glass half full kind of gal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIntentional is one of my favorite words. Because if you\u2019re not intentional, you can\u2019t expect things just to happen. You have to go make them happen\u2014especially as women,\u201d she told<\/a> Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls.<\/p>\n

“Be prepared for people to question you\u200a\u2014\u200apeople will give opinions and maybe even doubt you at times. It\u2019s OK for people not to understand your journey, and the reason being is because it\u2019s not for them<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

It is only fitting that she spends her spare moments co-creating a group \u2013 LeadHer<\/a> \u2013 focused on the professional development of women, and continues to advocate for student success across the state.<\/p>\n
