Milk &amp; Honey is a short film that gives us an intimate look into the lives of these communities, showing us that a modern existence and a life committed to the land can go hand-in-hand.<\/p>\n<p>The community speaks of the river as if it were a relative. Local churches hold baptisms in the water, and most<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> days it\u2019s the focal point of their sermons. Farmers tell stories about the joy and sustenance the river has given them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">Yuma folks know that without the river they wouldn\u2019t be there. But in recent years, the Colorado river has dwindled due to drought and many of the Churches have taken it upon themselves to spearhead conservation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">Milk &amp; Honey gives us some food for thought. Maybe it\u2019s time to give mother nature some real love before it\u2019s too late.
